Amaranth (Vibrant Red Garnet)

Amaranth is a delicate vibrantly-colored, protein-filled microgreen with a savory, earthy flavor. With bright magenta-colored leaves and stems, Amaranth microgreens are gorgeous and can be a nutritious focal point of many meals.

Growing directions:

• The seeds are tiny- do not overcrowd.
• 1/4- 1/2 tsp seed per tray
• Amaranth is sensitive to both cold and over-watering. It prefers 70F and above.
• Cover and weight for 3-4 days.
• Do not over-water. Allow to dry slightly between waterings and never leave tray sitting in water.
• Do not place in direct sun.
• Harvest when small-  8-12 days.
• These grow well as a mature plant in a summer garden. Plant a couple of the microgreen Amaranth in a large pot or sunny area of the garden. The leaves and flowers are edible and beautiful.
